Why most office moves happen after hours
A small office or a clinic near Lougheed or Metrotown rarely has a spare day for a move, so we schedule the bulk of the work for evenings or weekends when the phones have stopped ringing and nobody is waiting on a file. The crew works from a floor plan you send ahead of time rather than working out desk placement on the spot, since that single step saves real time once the truck is actually unloading.
What we ask before we quote it
We want to know how many workstations are moving, whether there is a server rack or just a few desktop towers, and whether anything needs to stay powered on during the move itself. A dental clinic with a fridge full of samples is a different job from a design studio with three monitors per desk, even if the two floor plans look similar on paper.
We also ask about the building on both ends, since loading dock hours, elevator access and whether a landlord needs notice before hours change are all things worth sorting out before move day rather than discovering at the door.
Packing a desk without losing the small stuff
Cables, chargers and small hardware are the easiest things to lose in an office move, so each desk gets its own labelled box rather than one shared bin of loose cords for the whole floor. Monitors travel upright in a padded sleeve, and anything with a screen is the last thing loaded and the first thing off the truck.

Almost every office has a single piece of equipment, a server, a point of sale terminal or a booking system, that the whole day depends on. We move that piece last, carry it ourselves rather than stacking it with other boxes, and get it plugged back in and confirmed working before the crew starts on anything else at the new address.

A finished office move means desks placed according to the plan you gave us, chairs at the right stations, and boxes stacked by department rather than left in one pile by the door. Owen walks the floor with whoever is managing the move before the crew leaves, so anything that needs shifting gets fixed while the truck is still outside. It also means a scuff on a wall or a chair gets caught while the crew can still fix it before leaving.
