How a storage run fits into a move
Rather than treating a storage hold as its own separate job, we load it as part of the same move. Your things go into the truck once, sit in a secure unit for the days or weeks in between, and come out again for delivery to the new address without a second full pack or a second crew learning your inventory from scratch.
This works well for the common Burnaby situation of a lease ending on the last day of the month while the new building will not release keys until a few days later.
What travels well in a short hold
Furniture, boxed items and most household goods are straightforward. Anything that needs a controlled temperature, such as certain electronics or instruments, is flagged during the walk-through so we can talk through whether a short hold suits it or whether it should ride with you instead.
When to book ahead
Storage space fills up fastest in the last week of the month, the same window when most Burnaby leases turn over, so let us know as early as you can if a gap between addresses looks likely. A few days' notice is usually enough, but the tightest turnarounds go to whoever asks first.
Getting it back out
When your new place is ready, we schedule the delivery the same way we would a normal move, with a crew sized to the load and a walk-through at the new address once everything is placed. Nothing changes about the standard of care just because the boxes spent a week in a unit rather than going straight from truck to truck.
Why one crew for both legs matters
Using the same crew for the pack-out and the delivery means nobody is re-learning your inventory from a stranger's paperwork. The same people who wrapped the sofa the first time are the ones setting it down at the new address, which keeps the whole gap between leases feeling like one job rather than two.
